After Karen the car park attendant gives Lee a card for the Samaritans, Mick is left confused when he comes across it. Lee has no option to come clean about his problems, but will he tell his father that he is responsible for the pub robbery?

Speaking to DgitalSpy, Danny -Boy who plays Lee said: "I think it's important that we show that it isn't all butterflies and roses directly after what's happened, but we also need to strongly insinuate that there is going to be light at the end of the tunnel potentially.

"We need to plant the idea into the audience that there is hope for Lee and I think the episodes after this will show that."

EastEnders airs on New Year's Day at 7pm on BBC One.

FIRST LOOK: Ian and Jane Get a Shock!

Oh we've been waiting so long for this!! Max Branning is back in Walford and he's got some catching up to do.

New pictures released this week show Max coming face-to-face with the couple who watched him go to prison, knowing he was completely innocent.

I'm just an ad, scroll past me ↓

Max returns tomorrow, months after his release from prison. It's not until the following day that Jane and Ian find out he's back.

When Lauren asks Jane if her dad can attend Steven's birthday drinks, Jane is left to break the news to Ian.

Earlier this year Max sent Ian a threatening letter, reminding him that he would never forget what he done. In a recent interview, Jake revealed: "If he's going to live on that Square, they have to come to some sort of understanding, put it that way.

"I think it's really up to Max whether he forgives them or not. He spent all that time in prison as a result of them lying in court. So it depends how Max feels when he gets back and how much he's changed and willing to forgive them."

EastEnders airs these scenes on Boxing Day at 8pm on BBC One.

RECAST: Character Returns With New Head!

Friday, 23 December 2016

It was announced today that Michelle Fowler is returning to Walford, she is remembered for the huge Dirty Den pregnancy storyline, but Susan Tully who played her has refused to return to the soap, mainly because she is a successful director behind the scenes.

Michelle is the best friend of Sharon, the sister of Martin and the mother of Vicky. She is also the mother of Grant Mitchell's secret love child, Mark.

Check out the new head below ↓

Meet Jenna Russell, the new face of Michelle Fowler. A source told The Sun: “Eastenders have been trying to convince Susan to come back for more than 20 years but they agreed enough was enough and have decided to recast the role.

“They thought Jenna was a great fit and think she will do a great job as Michelle who is one of the most popular characters in the show’s history.

“The show has faced accusations of being boring lately, but curveballs like this shows it still keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.”

Michelle has not stepped foot in Walford since 1995, missing the funerals for father Arthur, mother Pauline and brother Mark, and was mentioned by Ian Beale when his daughter Lucy died.

What do you think? Could we see the return of Mark Fowler Jr and his sister Courtney?

EastEnders Christmas 2016 - Everything You Need To Know!

The entirety of Lee's actions are due to come to a head over the festive period. We know by now that Lee has lied about his job, what he earns and even arranging a robbery in his parents pub. With his depression getting worse over Christmas, his life will reach breaking point.

We do know that Danny-Boy who plays Lee will appear around the New Year but the actor will leave our screens shortly afterwards.

Max Branning is finally back, we hear Ian Beale is the most worried, and for good reason. After Max was released from prison, he made his feelings clear in a note to Ian.

We hear it all kicks off when Max asks Lauren if he can attend Steven's birthday drinks . . . . we can't wait!

Phil Mitchell will have some poignant scenes with Max and Denise. Both will have an affect on his decision to carry on fighting, or give up and say goodbye to his family.

Poor old Dot, she is being forced into retirement after the owner of the launderette decided to let her go. The launderette will close it's doors on Christmas Eve, making it even sadder.

We also know that she refuses an invitation to Christmas dinner with Abi, insisting she has other plans. We don't think she's being truthful with that one. EastEnders are bringing the problem of elderly people being lonely at Christmas to the forefront. Well done!

After being angry at Roxy and her out of control behaviour, Ronnie and her sister have a heart to heart, leading to another bombshell. This causes Ronnie to have second thought's about moving away.

The pair decide on something that will pave the way to their future together . . . . however long that may be *sobs!

With the Walford Christmas Show in full swing, we hear it doesn't actually go to plan. Is disaster about to strike? Well it's Christmas and EastEnders, we would certainly think so!

We also see this picture kicking around, it's only Kush and Denise kissing under the mistletoe!  Will the previous relationship be exposed, testing the friendship of Denise and Carmel?

Linda Carter will be leaving Walford soon as Kellie Bright takes her maternity leave. The storyline is being kept under wraps, we do know however know that Linda receives a phone call with some some devastating news. Lets hope Elaine is ok!

This Christmas will also see the return of Cora Cross and the departure of Aunt Babe!

That's pretty much all we know so far, of course more will come out as the week goes on and we will share it as soon as it does.
