In The News: Samantha's Stalker Hell

According to The Sun, Samantha Womack has called in the police after a stalker has started camping outside her home to spy on her and her family.

Apparently she received a love letter from the obsessed fan which led bosses to step up security.

A source told The Sun last night: “This stalker has become completely obsessed with her and has been sleeping outside her house so that he can spy on her.

“The family are terrified that he will try to get into the grounds of the property or even the house.
“Sam also received a weird love letter from this oddball that really disturbed her.

“The whole situation is an absolute nightmare and has really shaken up Sam and the family.
“Apparently threats have been made towards her husband Mark as well.

“Everything became too much and on Thursday they decided to call in the police who are now investigating.
“Officers are taking this all very seriously and are actively pursuing the person they believe is responsible.
“Hopefully they will catch them soon and all this can be brought to an end once and for all.”

Police are now apparently investigating a string of incidents that have happened around the home Samantha shares with her husband and children.

Staff at Elstree where EastEnders is filmed have been told to keep an eye on anyone acting suspiciously during the days Sam in filming.

Samantha had been the subject of disusting behaviour from a member of the public before when someone screamed at her, calling her a “murdering bitch” when she was walking with her son and daughter in London. That was recently after the baby swap storyline on EastEnders. It was never confirmed but rumored to be the reason for Sam leaving the soap back in 2013.

Our source added: “Sam has already been through a great deal during her time playing Ronnie. The baby-swap story-line was incredibly stressful and forced her to re-evaluate everything.
“This latest drama is the last thing she needs and has made her feel very vulnerable.”

A police spokesperson told The Sun: “A report was made to Bedfordshire Police on Thursday relating to incidents of suspected stalking at a property in the county.
“An investigation has been launched and enquiries are on-going.”

An EastEnders spokesperson added: “We will not be commenting as there is an on-going police investigation.”
