We seem to get tiny little pieces of story when it comes to Stacey's key. Many fans have said they no longer care because it's been nearly two years since the story started. EastEnders are getting a little wrap from viewers for dragging storylines out too long but this one has been subtle so easier to keep track of.
EastEnders Executive Producer Dominic has assured fans that things will be a little clearer in a few weeks. He took to twitter last night to reply to fans tweets saying: "All will become clearer (well a little clearer) in a few weeks' time..."
We don't know much about the mystery key. It does have a family connection, given to her by her brother Sean and it once belonged to their father. A new character has appeared with a similar key.
The two main rumours are that the key opens a safety deposit box that holds the real birth certificate proving that Sean is in fact Kat's son. We are unsure about this one. The other is that Kyle was also fathered by Stacey and Sean's dad which would also explain Jean's reaction to the key earlier this year.
EastEnders first announced the arrival of Kyle in October, revealing that the character will become a permanent addition to the cast later this year. Kyle is played by trans actor Riley Carter Millington.
Maybe Sean will make a comeback, would you like to see that happen?
