After it was confirmed that Fatboy had been killed off in the Boxing Day episode, Ricky Norwood who plays him took to twitter to thank his fans. Ricky was also shocked that 'Fatboy' was a trending hashtag.

ReplyDeleteSo true Ann Kent, EASTENDERS some nights is hard to bear. The whole show is becoming so dark the Fatboy character was always a welcome relief. I could think of a handful of other characters I'd like to kill off before Fatboy. To start with how about Ronnie? Everytime she appears on screen the whole show grinds to a halt....and then there's....oh another time .

ReplyDeleteFelt sick the way they killed Fatboy off.....in his worst nightmare way, sickening. He was such a lovely decent character, not many role models on the show like him and to kill him in such a way was grim. Horrible.

Such a shame Eastenders killed Fatboy off when there were so many others that wouldn't have been missed!!! They have brought other dead characters back from the dead so hey! Anything is possible on Eastenders!!!!

I knew he was leaving the show but to end his character like that was unnecessary. He was a lovely character and companionship for Dot. It's lovely to see characters showing a caring attitude to their elders. What is poor Dot gonna do now and who will look out for her? :( You will be missed!
ReplyDeleteApparently eastenders sacked him because he was caught using drugs and someone took it to social media (from what I was told) if that's the case why didn't the actor that plays Abbie branding get sacked too?

ReplyDeleteI am so sad! Fatboy was such a lovely character who made us all laugh and was never nasty! He really cared about Mrs B and looked out for her - who's going to look after her now? If they had to write him out then they should have let him just move away so that he could come back later!

As already stated, why couldn't they write him out with a happy ending giving him a chance to come back. I love Eastenders and could think of other characters that should be killed off not loveable, caring Arthur.
