On the night of September 10th last year, Samantha Womack noticed a light in the early hours, outside her home. When her husband went outside to investigate, he spotted 22 year-old Peter Rombough, from Ditchingham in Norfolk sitting on her wall watching her family home.
Her husband asked him to leave but CCTV footage shows that he remained in the area watching the home.
When Peter was arrested it was revealed that he had walked 93 miles to stalk Samantha and her family at her home twice that year.
A statement read out in court said Samantha was scared to live in her own home. In it, she said: "These events have had a massive impact.
"I
can't stop thinking about it. He's a total stranger, but I'm concerned
about his well-being and do hope he is okay and needs to seek some
help."
Peter said he had a crush on Womack since he was 16, and had written her a letter claiming he "couldn't deal with the consequences" of her rejecting him.
