Shirley tries to drown Dean!

Later this month Shirley will try and drown her son Dean Wicks. After Shirley witnesses Dean attacking his fiance, she realises she has been supporting the wrong son.

Just after Christmas, Dean will attempt to rape Roxy until his mother walks in and catches him. His dark side reappears after Roxy tries to leave him. Shirley initially appears to cover for him.

Later, when Dean is in the bath, Shirley barges in and tries to drown him. This mirrors what she done to Mick as a child. Shirley won't kill him but this scene is what starts off the hostility between them which comes to a head on New Years Day.

It seems Mick will not try to drown his brother on his wedding day, instead he will jump into the lake to save his mother Shirley who Dean pushed in to get his own back! Mick will jump in to save his mother but will everyone make it out alive?

EastEnders airs the bath scenes on Tuesday, December 29 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
