When the truth is confirmed next week that Kush is the father of baby Arthur, it seems Shabnam is unable to move past the deceit. Although the couple were separated when Arthur was conceived, Shabnam feels that she has been lied to by her husband and best friend, the two people she should be able to rely on.
Shabnam correctly worked it out when she put the pieces together over Christmas, she was relieved when Stacey denied that Kush was the father. She was unaware of Stacey's illness that is making her believe that Arthur is the son of god.
Kush will be left wondering if his marriage with Shabnam is over after she discovers the truth, but he will have his loyalties tested when he hears that Stacey has disappeared with his son.
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, January 11 at 8pm and Tuesday, January 12 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
