To be fair, this was inevitable in soap land. Kathy will be given an ultimatum next week, Buster wants to know if she wants to be with him.
Buster is unsure if he wants to actually be with Shirley, he continues to get closer to Kathy. We recently see Buster and Kathy get up to naughtiness and it seems he wants more.
Buster has got his knickers in a bit of a twist because Shirley is helping with Peggy's funeral. Kathy tells him he must make more of an effort with Shirley.
When Carmel later tells him to do what makes him happy, he sends Kathy a message asking her to meet him. He opens up to her how he really feels about her. And this time, he wants an answer.
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, June 27 at 7pm and Tuesday, June 28 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
After everything he and Shirley have been through and what he's put Shirley through Inc making her tell him she loves him which was a big deal for her... I personally think this is the most ridiculous storyline one EE
