Matt Responds To Possible Return For Character Exit

With the news that Dean Wicks was found not guilty, could Matt be about to reprise his role for a short time in a storyline that sees the end of the Mitchell sisters, or the departure of Linda Carter?

Linda Carter actress Kellie Bright is taking a six month break from filming, Rita Simons and Samantha Womack, who play Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell, are being written out of the show for good.

The court case was for his attempted rape of girlfriend Roxy Mitchell, where he was found not guilty. Dean also had a long standing dislike of his girlfriends sister Ronnie.

Speaking to The Sun Matt said: "No one can tell the future"

"It could be right for me to go back one day, but with that last story, it is less likely. It took its toll on me, but it didn’t bleed into my private life. No one shouted at me in the street."

Matt has recently landed himself a role in television series Ordinary Lives: "I had a couple of weeks being back on the market and then I got this role. I didn’t expect to get something this quickly, but it’s just luck.

"Leaving EastEnders for the second time, I felt more prepared for what may or may not come along."
