It's Christmas Day in Walford but Linda Carter is nowhere to be seen. Currently the Queen Vic landlady is gearing up for the big day with preparations for the show and the Vic grotto.
Apparently Whitney decides takes control of Christmas lunch as Linda is a little occupied with Ollie.

Before the celebrations can start, Linda gets some devastating news. This will lead to the character's exit as actress Kellie Bright is taking a six month break.
After the bad news, Whitney cancels the Christmas lunch at her (tiny) flat and the family, minus Linda, attend lunch at the Vic.
EastEnders airs an hour-long special on Christmas Day at 9.30pm on BBC One.
