These two have been doomed from the beginning, Steven was originally just a shoulder to cry on when Lauren was struggling in her relationship with Peter.
Viewers have now seen Lauren recently contemplate her future with Steven, even making repeated contact with a guy she met over a photocopier.
Lauren may get her wish of spending more time with Josh, she's applied for a position within the same company, despite the advice given from her father, Max.
Feeling down after not hearing back about her job application, Steven suggests to Lauren they have a baby together, he's shocked when she tells him she doesn't want any more children, something that will cause more tension within their already flailing relationship.

Lauren later hears back about the job, they have invited her for an interview within Josh's company.
Even though Steven doesn't want Lauren to get the job, he does his best to be supportive, even buying her a new outfit and taking her for a meal before the big day. Could this spell the end of the young couple?
