Max is pushed out, EastEnders

1. Max Branning Murder Plot

Many viewers felt that EastEnders has left them feeling a little deflated over the last year, but big changes have already started to roll out, and the build up to Christmas in Walford has already begun.

We revealed this week that Max Branning will finally be exposed for his wrongdoings, and will be pushed out by his family and friends. It seems he now has murder on his mind . . . .

He had successfully silenced Jane and Steven Beale, but it seems that after being exposed next week, he still seeks revenge on those who left him to rot in prison.

Max Branning now has murder on his mind, and he has Ian Beale and Phil Mitchell in his sights.

Redemption?

2. Redemption

Max Branning will lose his family and friends after the big revelation, but it's been said that he will have "his very own angel" - Max's conscience has kicked in a few times recently, especially when Carmel is innocently caught up in the scheming.

Who could be his saviour? - Carmel is set to have a bleak Christmas, could she be the one person that stands by Max, even after everything he has done? - Will Fi Browning help the man she supposedly loves before she leaves Walford for good?

3. The Downfall of The Brannings

Christmas will focus a lot on the downfall of the Branning family, with Max taking centre stage. EastEnders recently revealed that "an unearthed piece of evidence looks set to trigger Max Branning's ultimate downfall, in an apocalyptic scale that will destroy the Branning family forever".

We have yet to see anyone stumble upon that voicemail, left by Jane Beale before her exit. The small fact that Steven Beale, died as a result of a push by Max, and of course his involvement in his brother Jack, giving up custody of Matthew.

Goodbye girls

4. Lauren and Abi Branning Leave Walford

The actual date for their departure is not yet confirmed, neither is the actual storyline. It is believed to be around Christmas, but with everyone turning their backs on Max, will they feel they are being pushed out too?

It's also unknown if Lauren and Abi will depart separately, but let's hope these two get a very fitting exit, will the door be left open for them to return in the future?

Mick and Aidan, EastEnders

5. Bad Boy Mick Carter

We all know that Danny Dyer is very good at playing the bad boy on screen, and it looks like his character Mick, might be heading over to the dark side.

As Aidan arranges a big job, with Phil Mitchell and Vincent Hubbard on side, he will set his sights on Mick Cater, offering him a role in return for a decent payout.

The Carter family have been hit financially this past year, they could do with a little boost in their income, will he take Aidan up on his offer?

Here comes the bride . . .

6. Carter Wedding 2.0

Mick and Linda Carter have faced tragedy this past year, they lost Sylvie in tragic circumstances, Linda suffered from cancer in silence, Nancy was injured while on her travels, Johnny was shot, they are close to losing their home and business, so Mick decides it's time to have some positivity back in their lives.

Whitney gave Mick the idea of renewing their wedding vows, a way of putting the last 12 months behind them. Will they make it down the aisle a second time, or will Aidan's plan be at the top of the list for Mick?

7. Battle of the Alpha Male

We have seen Aidan a couple of times in recent episodes, and something isn't sitting right with viewers. Is Aidan hiding something crucial about his big plan?

Aidan successfully gets Vincent and Phil on board, and Mick Carter looks set to join them. But with all that testosterone in one group, it doesn't take long before the alpha-males start butting heads.

An EastEnders insider teased: "One thing is for sure, cross Aidan Maguire and be prepared to have your baubles hanging decoratively on your Christmas tree,"
