Mel Owen May Not Be Returning Alone

After it was revealed last month that Mel Owen would be returning to Walford, viewers have speculated what could possibly bring her back.

Speaking to OK! Tilly Keeper who plays Louise Mitchell, hinted that Mel may not be returning to Walford alone.

Talking about Mel's return, Tilly said: "Mel is Lisa’s best friend and I’m pretty sure Mel helped kidnap Louise"

“I think it would be an interesting relationship to see on screen but we will have to see what happens.”

“So I’m hoping Mel would see Louise in the street and be like, ‘Hey, I know her'."

Viewers are also hoping to see the reunion between the previously inseparable Mel and Lisa, one viewer saying: "Now all we need is a Mel & Lisa reunion!!"

Another reason Mel probably won't return alone, she was pregnant with Steve Owen's baby when she left. Mel was married to Steve before he perished when his car exploded in front of Phil Mitchell and horrified onlookers.

Mel and Steve's child will now be 15 years old. Mel will return to EastEnders early next year.
