Tamzin Outhwaite and on-screen son (played by Charlie Winter) were spotted filming tense scenes today as characters Mel and Hunter Owen visit Steve's final resting place.

Mel and Hunter visit the grave of Barbara, Steve's mother and Hunter's grandmother. This is also the spot where Phil Mitchell scattered Steve's ashes after his death. These are the first scenes we have seen of the pair filming together ahead of Hunter's arrival in Walford.

Played by the wonderful Sheila Hancock, Barbara was Steve's abusive mother, appearing in hard-hitting episodes between 2000 - 2001.

Barbara later died and Steve followed with his tragic death the following year. The new pictures released show tension between mother and son, but why have the pair suddenly decided to take a trip down memory lane?

Hunter will be a charismatic character like his father, but will he be just as scheming? - Speaking about his arrival, Charlie said: "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be on such an iconic show as EastEnders."
