We revealed last week that Joyce Murray, played by Maggie Steed, will leave EastEnders after less than a year on the soap.
It was also revealed that the character will be killed off as Joyce passes away in her sleep.
We have now learned that the death will air as part of Friday's (30th March) episode. His wife's sudden death will come as a blow to Ted who is already suffering with his mental health.
EastEnders airs weeknights on BBC One.
