EastEnders have confirmed that actress Maggie Steed has left the soap, character Joyce Murray is due to leave on screen next week.
The Sun have reported that Joyce will die in her sleep, leaving husband Ted truly heartbroken.
EastEnders have confirmed that the couples daughter Judith will be introduced to the soap, played by Emma Fielding.
Maggie's departure is one of a few who are leaving the soap, including Lee Ryan and Richard Blackwood.
