When Digital Spy spoke to EastEnders' Davood Ghadami, who plays Kush Kazemi, the actor revealed that ramification of Shakil's death will be explored further, particularly with Kush.
As he rallies around to support him mum, Kush has not had time to grieve for the loss of his brother properly.
When asked if viewers will see Kush struggle in the aftermath, he said: "Yes. At the moment, Kush's focus is entirely with his mum. That is very natural to him but it's also something that can keep his focus away from the tragedy of what's happened.

"Kush has been through a lot of tragedy in his life anyway and it just seems to get closer and closer to home for him. It's not something he's going to be able to just lock away. It happens when tragedies occur in families – when one person is falling apart, there is someone around to hold them up.
At some point, that is going to change and that will happen to Kush – he'll be the one falling apart. " - EastEnders will move away from the traditional episode this Friday as real-life victims will appear in the soap.
