EastEnders have played out the Max Branning/Baby Abi storyline for some months, and it looks like it's coming to an end!
We know that Max married Rainie, as part of a business deal to fool the social services, but recent episodes have shown the pair growing closer.
Tanya Franks who plays Rainie, spoke to Inside Soap recently and admitted that the end of the storyline is something fans will not expect: "Rainie will come to realise just how much is at stake for her in life,"

Franks continued: I have an idea of where that story is going and I think the audience will be excited by what happens, as it might not be what they're expecting.
"The one thing that I'm finding out about Rainie is her loyalty to this situation, and that actually Max and Rainie's partnership is very strong. She wants to feel wanted, be a mum and have a proper relationship. It's all about the package!"
"He could just be another Branning notch on her bedpost in some ways, but that's not how she sees it. For now, the bigger picture is much more alluring. What is also worth mentioning is that Rainie always feels as though she has something to prove.
"She is constantly dealing with feeling worthless in every way, shape or form – so as long as she has this mission with Max and the chance to be a mum to baby Abi, then she has some self-worth."
EastEnders airs weeknights on BBC One.
