When Hayley continues to doubt whether she's good enough to take care of her baby, despite the support of her family, the new mum decides she's better off without her.
After Hayley and the baby go missing, the Slaters go in search for them, leading them to Bev's front door.
Bev covers for her daughter, and is fully supportive of her decision to give up the baby.

After seeing how amazing Mariam and Arshad were with baby Harley, Hayley leaves her daughter on their doorstep, adamant that she's making the right decision.
When Hayley later returns to the square, she is forced to face the true feelings she holds for her daughter, when she finds out that Mariam has rushed the baby to the hospital.
Thankfully it looks like a false alarm, but Hayley receives a wake up call over her decision to give up her daughter.
When the social worker arrives at the hospital to discuss the recent events, both Kat and Mariam fight Hayley's corner, pleading with them to let Hayley keep her baby.
