Mel Owen recently found out that her boyfriend Ray is living a double life, but instead of confronting him about his lies, viewers were shocked when Mel insisted they should get married.

It has recently been revealed that the pair will marry over New Year's, hinting at an almighty wedding day showdown.


Pushing her wish to get married, next week sees Mel pick out a diamond ring, but she's shocked when Ray admits that he can't afford the jewellery.

Later, Mel finds out that he was lying about not having any money, but when Ray realises he's been rumbled, he's desperate to try and cover his tracks.

Speaking about the current storyline, Sean Mahon who plays the Irish villain said: "I can tease that it's going to go in a whole direction that no one expects and I think the stakes are going to be so high that people are going to be blown away."
