Last year was one of the worst for the Carter family, but with Mick and Linda looking at making 2019 their best, things get off to a bad start when Mick forgets his wedding anniversary, leaving Linda heartbroken.
Mick's mind seems to be elsewhere when Linda realises that her husband has also booked the wrong band for the New Year's party.
Making matters worse, Mick has also not booked enough staff for one of the busiest nights of the year, leaving Linda rushed off her feet.
Later, Mick chats with Kush about relationships, giving him food for thought about the way he is treating Linda.

The following day, as they prepare for Ray and Mel's wedding reception, the family are bombarded interruptions and mishaps.
Will Mick ever realise that what Linda done to free him from prison was in his interest, or will he continue to push his wife away until she's gone for good?
