Alfie has been struggling to find his feet since he returned to Walford, and his past scheming has also been catching up with hi, but EastEnders will air a surprise twist next week when Alfie goes missing.
We now know that Ian managed to borrow money from Ian Beale, but the wheeler-dealer will also ask Phil Mitchell for a loan next week.
Despite getting the loan from Phil, it's not long before Kat receives a text from her husband revealing that he's in a lot of trouble.

With the Slater family desperately trying to find out where Alfie is, they are in for another surprise when the police arrive with some shocking news.
Later, there's fresh hope when Kat realises that Alfie has left her a post-it note in her bag, but sadly Ernie admits to eating half of it.
As Stacey and Kat search the house for clues, Phil Mitchell is the next person hammering on their door when he hears that Alfie has done a runner.
Admitting defeat, Kat decides to sit her boys down to explain that their father has had to go away for a while, but before she can finish, Kat finds the other half of that note.
