The moment we have all dreaded will air next week, with heartbreaking scenes showing Doctor Harold Legg pass away with Dot Branning by his side.
Shortly after his return, Harold revealed to Dot that he had a terminal illness, and was no longer receiving treatment.
In upcoming scenes, Sonia is left with delivering the news to Dot that her friend doesn't want to return home for his final moments.
After she fails to make him reconsider, Stuart Highway comes up with an idea, and surprisingly, it seems to work.

By the end of the week, Dot begins to make preparations for Doctor Legg's homecoming, but Bex struggles to cope with the fact that he could die at any moment.
His final scene will see Harold and Dot share some precious memories, before passing away with one of his longest friends by his side.
