EastEnders were spotted filming on location today, on top of London's O2 arena. The character - played by Gillian Wright - will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in upcoming scenes.
Next week, Jean will speak to Sonia Jackson to ask about her mum's cancer battle, this leads to the character emptying the house of any unhealthy food.
Today the soap was spotted filming scenes on top of the O2 arena, a massive 170 feet above ground level.
Jean Slater is seen bravely climbing across the dome to raise money for Cancer Research, in scenes that will air later this spring. More information soon.

Speaking about the heartbreaking storyline, Gillian Wright told the Radio Times: “I’m aware of the impact such stories can have. It’s important we treat the issue of cancer diagnosis and treatment with huge sensitivity, dignity and respect. I hope the storyline helps awareness of the disease and is supportive to those that are affected.”
