Watch The Moment The Mitchell Sisters, Sam & Rita, Reunited

When Samantha Womack appeared on today's Loose Women to promote The Girl on the Train stage adaptation, the actor was surprised when the show announced that Rita Simons was waiting in the wings.

The pair instantly took a trip down memory lane as Sam revealed when they played Peggy Mitchell's bridesmaid's in the soap, they were given the option to choose their own footwear, but Rita revealed that Sam's choice was far from glamorous: "They were lilac, sipid, blancmange, high waisted, puffy toilet roll holders" she joked.



Seeing the pair together since their on-screen characters perished, Stacey Solomon exclaimed: "It's really sad that you're not on screen together anymore. Is there any way of getting you together on screen?"
