Heartbreaking scenes will air on EastEnders next week when Bailey's mum Dinah, makes the decision to end her life.
Viewers know that young Bailey has been caring for her mum alone, that was until Ted Murray offered up his own home so Dinah and Bailey wouldn't be separated, and also to receive help from the Taylor/Baker family.

As Dina struggles to cope with her MS, story writers have taken the brave decision to explore how her condition is affecting her mental health.
When Dinah contract pneumonia, her family begin to worry about her state of mind.
Later, Karen receives a text from Dinah, she rushes to the flat to find that Dinah has fallen again. When the nurse arrives, Karen asks for advice and is told to speak to a mental health professional, and also to reach out to another patient, Darren.

Sadly, Karen's concerns for Dinah intensify when she finds her writing out future birthday cards for Bailey.
Although Karen is pleased that Dinah's behaviour seems to have improved, her real intentions become clear later in the week when she's home alone.
After making her final plans, Dinah spends some time with her daughter before sending her to the park with Chantelle and Karen.
When Mitch arrives to check on her, he's devastated to learn that Dinah has taken her own life.

Karen is devastated when she finds out that Dinah has gone through with her plan, but she and Mitch are shocked when the police find her suicide note.
As Karen tries to comfort Mitch and deal with the shock, she vows to do whatever it takes to protect Bailey.
