EastEnders are planning happier times ahead for Jean Slater as her new love interest, played by Adrian Edmondson, joins the soap later this month.
These new pictures released show the moment Jean meets Daniel as she attends her latest chemotherapy appointment.
Fellow patient Daniel instantly gets on Jean's nerves with his unique sense of humour, but when Jean snaps at him, their fondness for each other will start to blossom.
Actor Adrian Edmondson is best known for starring in Bottom and The Young Ones. He is also married to Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders.
