It has been revealed today that much-loved character Mick Carter, will be left fighting for his life when he suffers a heart attack on the football pitch.
As Mitch and Mick continue to help the young local football team, the pub landlord steps in to calm an altercation between Mitch and one of the footballer's dad's.
Shortly afterwards, Mick is seen clutching his chest before dropping to the floor, with Mitch rushing to his aid.
A source told the Metro: ‘Mick’s got a lot of stress in his life and hasn’t really been taking care of his physical or mental health. He’s running a boozer, juggling being a husband and a dad, working with Mitch coaching the football team, and then there’s little Ollie’s autism assessment.’
