Linda Carter's Heartbreaking Christmas Day Revealed

These scenes will set up the groundbreaking New Year's Eve episode

It's another sad Christmas for the Carter family as Linda's drinking leads to her missing that special moment of watching her son open his presents on Christmas morning.

Linda's dependency on alcohol is obvious on Christmas Eve when the landlady dresses up for the 'Ball and Chain' winners dinner, not realising that Ruby was joking with her about dressing up for the occasion. She soon turns to drink and later unleashes a verbal tirade on her.

When Mick finds out what Linda has done, he delivers her some home truths and pours her wine down the sink, but his actions cause Linda to erupt with anger.
