You might have thought you were in for a little break before EastEnders set up another huge storyline, but not in Walford! As the events of Christmas Day continue to be felt throughout the New Year festivities, 2020 sees the beginning of a new secret.
As the turn of the decade approaches, Karen Taylor is left worried about her family and is unable to get hold of some crucial information. Also, Louise Mitchell is left struggling with her own conscience.

Speaking about New Year is Walford, an EastEnders spokesperson said: "More than one family is torn apart following past events of Christmas Day, and despite Walford's biggest secret being exposed, an even bigger one has now formed.
"Only a handful of people know the truth and whether or not it will remain hidden, only time will tell. One thing is certain, however – if it ever did come out, the consequences would be catastrophic."
So what could possibly be the new secret in Albert Square? Well, you have the problem of Karen Taylor knowing the truth about Keanu and Sharon's baby, and said nothing to protect her son . . .

There's also the spoiler released earlier this year of Martin Fowler taking Linda Carter at gunpoint outside a disused warehouse. At the same time Danny Walters, who plays Keanu, was also spotted on location where a gunshot was reported.

The paparazzi also spotted Danny Walters and Lorraine Stanley filming at a departure lounge as Karen says goodbye to her son, Keanu.
What do we think? With Ben urging his father not to do anything that could risk him going to prison, it's likely that he arranges for Martin, and possibly Tubbs, to take out Keanu once and for all. But we know Martin is not a cold blooded killer, so he could fake Keanu's death and warn the young mechanic to stay away from Walford, later telling the Mitchell's the job is done.
This could be massive for EastEnders, and here's why . . .

Imagine the Mitchell's have been told Keanu Taylor is dead, and a few years down the line Keanu walks into the Vic! That alone would make a massive impact, but then you have all the drama that goes with it: Karen Taylor knowing, Martin Fowler double crossing, and maybe even Linda carter knowing.
We have absolutely no idea how the next few weeks will play out, we can only go on the spoilers that have been revealed so far.
