After the Atkins family enjoy Christmas, things get a whole lot darker for Chantelle as Gray's behaviour takes a worrying turn.
Gray is currently seeking the help of a therapist, finally opening up about his past, but he gets annoyed when the venue which they've chosen to renew their wedding vows falls through.
When she witnesses her husband's temper flare up again, a frightened Chantelle is left wondering if she's making the biggest mistake of her life.

Later, the young couple prepare themselves for a mock ceremony but Karen puts her foot in it when she reveals to Gray that Chantelle is stressed about renewing her vows.
Witnessing the behaviour in his daughter, Mitch takes Chantelle to one side and urges her to open up about what's going on within her marriage, but she brushes off his concerns.

Soon afterwards Gray announces he has booked the couple on a surprise holiday, but they have to leave immediately.
As they head off on their break, Mitch picks up on the tension between Gray and his daughter which leaves him concerned. Will he discover the hidden truth?
