The current storyline between Ian and Bobby Beale will take a dark twist in upcoming episodes when Bobby is subjected to online bullying. The cyber abuse will lead to devastating scenes over the anniversary week.
After falling out with his son, Ian contemplates reaching out to him, completely unaware at the abuse Bobby has been subjected to online.

After discussing the abuse with Iqra and Habiba, Bobby decides to take matters into his own hands when the three of them are racially abused by a gang in the street. Unfortunately, the situation soon spirals out of control and Bobby is left fighting for his life after being brutally attacked.
Soon afterwards, Ian and Kathy receive the devastating news that Bobby will need life-saving surgery as a result of his injuries.

Kathy and Ian rush off to the hospital to be by Bobby's side, but things take another dramatic turn when Ian receives a shocking text from Bex Fowler. The text message informs Ian that Dennis Rickman was responsible for Bobby's harassment. Soon afterwards Ian rushes off to the boat party to confront Dennis
Viewers will have to wait until next week to find out what Ian does when he gets his hands on the teenager.
