It was revealed earlier this month that Jasmine Armfield, who has played Bex Fowler for six years, will be leaving the soap. The news came just after it was announced that someone would die during anniversary week, leaving fans fearful for the character.
Thankfully Bex made it out alive, but not before having a terrible reaction to a street drug she purchased for the party, and it seems her latest brush with death will give the character a new lease of life as she decides to head off on her travels.

Following a supportive conversation with Kat, Bex heads home to break the news to Martin and Sonia that she's leaving Walford, but the news doesn't go down well with her mum.
As she prepares for her trip abroad, Bex is furious when she discovers her passport is missing. Realising who's responsible, Bex confronts her mum, but Sonia is adamant that she's making the wrong decision.

With Sonia refusing to reason with Bex over her decision to leave, it's not long before she receives a telling off from Max and Jack over her behaviour. Sadly Bex is left feeling trapped and takes drastic measures and writes her mum a letter.
