EastEnders' Linda Carter made a u-turn over her decision to divorce husband Mick Carter after the boat tragedy last week. As the couple start to rebuild their life, Linda continues to struggle with the overwhelming urge to reach for the bottle, but things take a positive turn when Ollie's handmade costume wins second prize at school. Seeing the excitement in his little face gives Linda the optimism she desperately needed.

As the week continues, Linda starts pouring away all the half-filled bottles of alcohol hidden around the house, and she's touched when Tina offers to help.
Keeping herself busy, Linda heads off to spend some time with Sharon, and even offers to look after her baby to give her some breathing space. It's safe to say we will soon have the old Linda Carter back, but sadly this will be a life-long battle for the character.

Speaking about her recent alcoholism storyline, actor Kellie Bright said: "I've loved every second of it, but it has been really challenging,"
"It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do on screen in anything. It was as terrifying as it was exciting."
EastEnders air these scenes next week on BBC One.
