EastEnders star Maisie Smith who plays Tiffany Baker was spotted shopping during the Coronavirus outbreak, but newspaper headlines claimed the actor was 'stockpiling' - Maisie's mum/manager was forced to defend her daughter, claiming she "was shopping for her 84 year old grandad and her 94 year old next door neighbour"

In a statement released on twitter and Insagram, Julia said: "A van was outside our house all day and it wasn't until Maisie went shopping that we realised it was a pap when he drove off behind her and creepily followed her to Sainsburys [sic].


"And Maisie wasn't 'stock piling' she was shopping for her 84 year old grandad and her 94 year old next door neighbour who aren't able to leave their houses! STOP FOLLOWING YOUNG GIRLS IT'S WRONG."

Thankfully, Julia's statement was followed by a flow of support for her and her daughter.
