The scenes between married couple Chantelle and Gray Atkins has been tough viewing for fans of EastEnders, but understandably a serious storyline desperately needed, especially during the pandemic after the BBC reported domestic abuse killings double and calls to helpline surge by 50% during lockdown.
When the Panesar brothers first arrived in Walford, it was revealed that Chantelle and Jags once dated when in school, but it wasn't long before viewers started to notice the chemistry between Kheerat and the former hairdresser.

New spoilers will now give hope to fans with Chantelle finally opening up about the troubles in her relationship, and hopefully an end to her ordeal on the horizon.
When Chantelle and Kheerat get trapped in the office after a power cut, Gray goes on the warpath after he fails to get hold of his wife on the phone. But upcoming episodes see Chantelle become extremely anxious which eventually leads to questioning from Kheerat.
