Viewers were left concerned for Jean Slater after last night's episode when she mistook Whitney for her daughter, Stacey. We revealed earlier this week that Kush will discover that Jean has not been taking her medication, but things will take a dramatic turn when she suffers a seizure, leaving her family shocked.

Kush's concern continues into next week's episodes after a conversation with Shirley Carter, she informs him that Jean has been continuously calling the police over Whitney's disappearance, despite her already returning home.
Later, Jean publicly snaps at Whitney, accusing her of lying about her kidnapping. Witnessed by Shirley, she demands answers from Kush who admits Jean hasn't been taking her meds.

Both Kush and Shirley sit down to discuss how to get Jean back on track, and they ultimately decide to take matters into their own hands.
As the pair meet up again the following day to discuss what they need to do next, things take a worrying turn.

Shirley and Tina later go in search of Jean after she storms off, but they're alarmed when they find her having a seizure.
Speaking to Digital Spy about Kush's new responsibilities, actor Davood Ghadami said: "His heart is very much in the right place, he's always trying to do what's right so when things start to go wrong, one thing after the other, it's very difficult for Kush.

"Being in a house with five kids and having all the responsibility dumped on him is a struggle. He has to look out for Mo, keep a eye on Jean plus take care of the kids – he's just taking it day by day."
