EastEnders has been hinting at Stacey Fowler's return to Walford for some
time, and a recent telephone cameo has given fans hope that it will be soon.
When a main character is about to return to a soap, storylines start to shift
to accommodate their arrival, and that's happened recently with Jean Slater's
health scare, Martin's potential fling with Ruby Allen, and of course the
eventual return of Kat Slater.
The episodes we are currently watching would have aired towards the end of
April, and as the soap filmed 6-8 weeks in advance, we are now approaching the
time when soap bosses would have had to halt filming, but could we see
Stacey's return before it's taken off the air completely?
It has been revealed that Lacey Turner, who was on maternity leave, did not
reprise her role due to the lockdown in March, so an appearance from the
character seems unlikely until summer at the earliest, but even that seems a
little optimistic. We would expect to see Stacey's return much later in the
year.

remains unknown. As EastEnders resumes filming next month, a more detailed
plan of a return to TV will be known, but the health and wellbeing of cast and
crew remain the top priority.
