It has been revealed previously that Stacey Fowler will be back in Walford after actor Lacey Turner returns from maternity leave. It has now been revealed that Stacey's return will be part of a multi-week storyline which will uncover where Stacey has been hiding, and she's in for a surprise!
Stacey will discover that her best-friend Ruby Allen has spent lockdown with her husband Martin Fowler, and the pair have started a romantic relationship.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Executive Producer Jon Sen revealed: "Lacey is amazing and part of EastEnders history and we have really missed her energy in the Slaters. So, the first two weeks we tease a mystery – where is Stacey?"

"Are all of these things going on [on] the Square to do with her – then she's back with a bang. There are some fantastic Ruby vs Stacey scenes – and we can't wait to find out what Stacey does when she discovers what has been going on between Martin and Ruby. As a return, that is a big moment." he said.
EastEnders returns Monday 7th September on BBC One.
