EastEnders Reveals if Callum Helps Frame Phil Mitchell

A new mystery unfolds after Ben Mitchell's release

EastEnders has revealed that Ben Mitchell will be freed from police custody next week, but since Callum was given the option to free his boyfriend in exchange for Phil Mitchell, does Callum give DI Thompson what he wants?

Upcoming scenes will see Callum contemplate the option to take down Phil Mitchell, but if he agreed and Ben found out, surely that would lead to the end of their relationship?

As he weighs up his options, Callum overhears the incriminating evidence needed when listening to Phil and his lawyer Richie, discuss the case.

Later things take a worrying turn when Phil confronts Callum over Ben's arrest, accusing him of helping the police arrest him.

Dialling down his temper and talking softly, Phil admits to Callum that he's not been a great dad and has made mistakes over the years.

After the eye-opening conversation with Phil, Callum heads off to see DI Thompson where he refuses to comply in his attempt of bringing down Phil Mitchell.

After Ben is told he can't be released from custody until his alibi can be verified, Jay and Phil are shocked when he walks through the door.

Ben wrongly assumes Callum must have destroyed the CCTV footage to secure his freedom, and the mystery deepens when Phil overhears Jack Branning telling a colleague that he thought Ben was going to prison for a long time.

How exactly did Ben get released from custody? Viewers will have to wait until next week to find out.
