It has now become clear that Kush Kazemi has become addicted to online gambling over lockdown, and in a recent episode viewers see the moment he lost £5,000 when Lily used his tablet.
When Suki tells him the rent is increasing imminently, Kush sells Lily's tablet and also tries to win more money on the gambling site.
His change in behaviour isn't going unnoticed when Martin expresses his concerns, but things take a worrying turn when Kush is pushed to his limits and steals money from the till at Ruby's club, unfortunately for him, someone is watching.

Ruby later tells Kush to return the money to her, insisting she'll forget it ever happened. But the market stall holder makes the situation worse when he fails to own up to the theft.
Furious about Kush's denial, Ruby heads off to see Kat, Stacey and Jean, informing them of Kush's gambling problems, but their concern is short-lived when Kush reveals he's won £10,000.
Overhearing Kush's good news, Kheerat invites him to a poker night, but Kat asks her boyfriend to prove he doesn't have a gambling problem.
Ruby is still furious and thinks of a way she can get back at the Slaters, so she pays a visit to Suki Panesar, who like her, wants to see the Slaters leave Walford.

It seems the idea of the poker night was down to Suki, who has asked her son's to invite Kush. A suspicious Kush initially declines their offer, but with a healthy bank balance, Kush can't help himself and heads to the club.
Worried about his friend, Martin decides to go along too, and when the Slaters find out where Kush is, they desperately try to stop him from loosing all his money. Will they succeed?
