Karen Taylor has only been on our screens a handful of times in recent weeks, and that's not surprising as she's looking after her grandchildren following Chantelle's death.
Sadly, upcoming episodes will see everything change when Gray insists Mack and Mia return home full time, leaving the grieving mother devastated.
Karen is unaware that her son-in-law murdered her daughter, and most recently Tina Carter, but when Karen pushes Gray to let her have more involvement in the children's lives, his anger silently begins to bubble under the surface.

EastEnders have teased that Gray could strike again before he receives his comeuppance. Could Karen be his next victim?
Speaking earlier this week, Executive producer Jon Sen said: "One of the big moments of last year was the death of Chantelle and everybody's asking the question of when Gray will receive his comeuppance,"
"The soap gods never forgive something like that and we need to see Gray pay, but I'm going to keep when that'll happen close to my chest but it's something we've talked about a lot."
