Gray Atkins began trying to seduce Whitney shortly after the death of his wife, Chantelle, but his plan backfired when his young nanny fell for Kush Kazemi.
Gray has been secretly angry over Whitney's relationship, and upcoming scenes will see the killer do what he can to split up the young couple.
As Kush prepares for a day out with Whitney and Arthur, Gray offers him some advice. He tells him to explain to Arthur the truth about his upcoming sentencing hearing. He also tells him it would be best to speak to his son without Whitney being present.

Taking the solicitor's advice, Kush cancels his date with Whitney and prioritises telling his son about his upcoming court appearance.
Gray tries to use this opportunity to spend time alone with Whitney, but his plan backfires when he receives a call from the school regarding a problem with Mack.
Before heading off to the school, Gray uses this time to plant more seeds of doubt about Kush, leaving Whitney conflicted.
The following day, as Kush and Whitney intend to spend the day together, their plans are thrown when she's asked by Gray to work, so the romantic date is pushed back to the evening.

Later, after revealing her plans for that evening, Gray tells his nanny that he needs her to stay on late, hoping to ruin the romantic evening.
Whitney is disappointed, but not for long as Kush decides to bring the date to Gray's house. As the romantic meal gets underway, Gray arrives home and is furious to see his plan has failed.
