After Ash Panesar's relationship with Iqra ended, the young nurse began spending much of her time with Peter Beale, but after she administered pain medication to him whilst off duty, she found herself suspended from work.
Next week Suki drops a bombshell on Ash by revealing that she knows about her suspension, and has known for some time.
Suki warns her daughter not to put her career on the line for some silly flirtation, and it's not long before it erupts into the full-blown argument.
Ash reassures her mum that she will put everything right at her upcoming hearing. Suki tells Ash to do whatever it takes to keep her job.

On the day of the hearing, Suki can't resist taunting her daughter, asking her how it feels to rely on a 'Beale' to save her job.
Later, Suki makes the shocking decision to head to the hospital where she introduces herself as the consultant reviewing Ash's case.
That evening, Suki and Ash attend Sharon's party at the Vic where Peter arrives soon after to make a romantic apology, but Ash is interrupted by a call from work. Suki reveals that she has threatened Ash's boss in order for her daughter to keep her job!
