EastEnders: Kush's Exit is "big stuff" and "felt like we were doing a film"

Kush Kazemi's exit has been talked about since actor Davood Ghadami revealed last year that he would be leaving the soap after six years.

Speaking to Digital Spy about the upcoming exit storyline, Shona McGarty who plays Whitney Dean revealed: "It was a strange day.

"We are very close and he's been on the Square for a long time so we're all really good friends. It was a sad day but very exciting to film, I know that he was very excited.

"It's big stuff, it's such big stuff that we felt like we were doing a film. It was a really exciting day."

EastEnders remain tight lipped over the exit storyline, but many viewers believe he could become the third victim of Gray Atkins.

When asked about her characters relationship with Kush, Shona explained: "Whitney really thinks Kush is 'The One' and this is it, this is her happy ever after. I think she thinks this is it, this is the last thing."
