It was announced earlier this year that EastEnders' Laila Morse would be
stepping down from her role as Mo Harris after the actor decided to move
aboard.
EastEnders has now revealed her exit will create a big dilemma for Jean Slater
upon her departure.
Next week, Mo explains that she has been offered to go on a cruise with Fat
Elvis, but she has declined.
When Jean questions her over the decision, Mo reveals that she's not
comfortable leaving Jean on her own because she knows something is going on
with her.

Desperate to keep her diagnosis a secret, Jean manages to convince Mo that her behaviour is because she's missing Stacey, and soon after she starts to arrange Mo's leaving party.
Later, Jean spots Mo acting suspiciously around the garage when a police car
pulls up. What is she up to?
At the leaving party, Jean struggles to say her goodbyes, muttering to herself
that she won't be around by the time she returns, unaware that her comment was
overheard by Zack.
After Mo leaves Walford, Zack approaches Jean and asks what she meant by her
statement, but Jean fobs him off, despite his offer to help.

Will Jean finally open up to someone about her terminal diagnosis?
EastEnders air these scenes next week on BBC One.
