EastEnders First Look: Callum Highway Traumatised After Stabbing Incident

Callum Highway returns to work after a short break following his honeymoon, but the young copper is already feeling stressed when Ben asks his husband to quit his job.

Unsure what to do, Callum promises Ben that he'll think about it.

Later, Callum heads off to see Kat Slater after she reported being mugged, but when Phil arrives he's far from happy that Callum is one of the officers responding.

After making his feelings clear about his son-in-law, Kat blasts Phil for being too busy to help her himself.

Once Callum and his colleague Fitzy leave the Slater house, they can't believe their luck when they spot a mugging in the square, and give chase.

Unfortunately, things take a horrifying turn when the mugger fights back and Fitzy is stabbed and left fighting for his life.

As the mugger flees, Callum remains by Fitzy's side and waits for the paramedics to arrive.

Once Fitzy is rushed to hospital, DCI Arthurs arrives where Callum blames himself for what happened.

Later in the week, as Ben and Callum's anniversary approaches the young officer is unable to get in the party mood, and Ben assumes Callum is worried about his future in the force.

Instead of talking to his husband about his worries, Callum gets up and leaves after snapping at Ben.

When Kat and Whitney see Callum, they question him over the stabbing but they're both surprised by his reaction.

Whitney realises something isn't right. Will she help Callum get the help he needs?
