Some of you may remember we recently discussed how EastEnders hadn't had an epic fire scene in the show for some years, but it has been revealed the soap has something huge planned for September.
EastEnders are currently filming some epic stunts which are part of this autumns big storyline, with characters of the show spotted filming the scenes surrounded by billowing smoke and emergency services.
An insider to the show has revealed the fire storyline is part of Janine Butcher's big return to Albert Square.
Currently the size of the stunt and whether characters die as part of the storyline will be released in due course.
A local resident told the Metro: "I heard a lot of sirens and thought something was going on but then realised it was coming from the [nearby] EastEnders set.
"There were ambulances and fire engines and a lot of smoke. It was definitely not an emergency, they were filming something."
