Back in 2016 viewers were shocked when Paul Coker was killed off in a
homophobic attack, and the soap will revisit the storyline this week when Ben
Mitchell receives devastating news.
Both Pam and Les Coker relocated to the south coast following their grandsons
death, but the couple still remain in contact with Ben.
In a week where Phil becomes more determined than ever to fight for custody of
his son Raymond, Ben blasts his father's suggestion of the legal battle when he says
none of his children like him.
Later, as Ben heads off to the Vic to watch the football, he's stopped in his
tracks when he receives a call from Pam.
Pam reveals to a shocked Ben that the man who murdered Paul appealed his conviction and is now a free man.
Reeling from the devastating news, Ben is sure this is his comeuppance for his
involvement in Jags Panesar's death.
Despite Callum's initial hesitation, he agrees to Ben's plea by getting address of Paul's killer from the police database, despite it risking his job.
Will Ben play by his husband's rules, or will he seek revenge in the only way
a Mitchell knows how?
EastEnders air these scenes this week on BBC One and are available to watch
now on iPlayer.
