Rudolph Walker reveals if he's leaving EastEnders

EastEnders legend Rudolph Walker who plays Patrick Trueman has revealed if he's leaving the soap after an impressive 20 years on Albert Square.

Sadly the rumour of his exit started thanks to the newspapers who know a much-loved character like Patrick will get them clicks, despite knowing the story is false. Well, Rudolph decided to answer the question himself.

"As long as EastEnders wants me," he said speaking to Inside Soap - "At the moment I am enjoying it, and I will continue to enjoy it for as long as it's physically and mentally possible."

Speaking of his most favourite scenes over the two decades, Rudolph said: "Patrick's affair with Pat was a pleasant surprise. It was an ingenious thing that the writers did at the time because it was totally unexpected. It was such a joy doing those scenes with [Pat star] Pat St Clement.

"There was a memorable scene we did in bed, where Patrick had left his hat at the foot of the bed. You do have to wonder: Why, if you're lying down with a woman, would you put your trilby at the foot of the bed? It was a classic moment."

So there you have it, Patrick Trueman will continue to walk the streets of Walford and we couldn't be happier.
